City Employee Tests Positive for COVID-19 NR20069ne
Los
Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department has
identified its first confirmed case of COVID-19 involving one of
its employees. A uniformed supervisor assigned to our Pacific
Division exhibited flu-like symptoms around March 5th. He went
home and sought medical treatment including being tested for
COVD-19. Those results returned positive today.
The supervisor's condition is
already improving and he is expected to make a full recovery.
Thorough cleaning and disinfecting of the involved employee's
work area at the Pacific Division should be completed by the end
of the day.
