Murder Investigation In Sun Valley

Sun Valley: On Tuesday, August 21, 2001, at approximately 5:45 p.m., North Hollywood patrol officers responded to a shots fired call in the 8500 block of Cayuga Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered that the wounded victim, 21-year-old Eduardo Robles Jr., had been transported by family members to Pacifica Hospital. Robles was pronounced dead from a single gunshot wound to his chest at 6:30 p.m.

Subsequent investigation revealed Robles had been involved in a dispute with two suspects when one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and shot him in the chest. The suspects fled the location in a green 2-door 94/95 Chevrolet Camaro.

The first suspect is Pablo Chavez, 22 years of age, 5’8″, 140 lbs., shaved head and gang tattoo on his left leg. The second suspect is Jose Chavez, 19 years of age, 5’6″, 130 lbs.
