The US Navy Seals and LAPD Promote Physical Fitness WHAT: LAPD Recruits take the US Navy Challenge WHEN: February 7, 2008 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. WHERE: Los Angeles Police Academy Athletic Field 1880 North Academy Drive Los Angeles, California 90012 WHO: United State Navy Seals Los Angeles Police Department Training Division WHY: About 20-25 Los Angeles Police Department Academy Recruits will participate in physical fitness training with the Navy Seals. The exercises will include calisthenics and a 2-3 mile run. The goal of the program is to promote physical fitness and fight America’s increasing problem with obesity.
