LAPD Academy Graduation

Los Angeles Police Department Graduation Ceremony Representing the second class of LAPD’s 140th Anniversary Year.

WHY:
Graduating officers have completed 912 hours of training over the course of 24 weeks. Total graduates in the class are 44, with 38 males and 5 females.
The ethnic breakdown of the class is as follows: 8 Caucasians, 24 Hispanics, 1 African American, 1 Korean, 1 Filipino and 3 of Middle Eastern descent. Additionally, one of the graduates is a Los Angeles Port police officer.
