WHY:              
To address community concerns about the recent arrest of gang suspects resulting from a long-term gang/murder investigation involving several law enforcement agencies.  The gang takedown was the centerpiece of a major, seven-month collaborative effort.  Agencies involved included the Glendale Police Department, LAPD and Southern California Drug Task Force.  Arrests for murders, narcotics trafficking, assaults and various weapon-related offenses resulted from the operation.
