3rd Annual Peace in the Northeast Community March and Resource Fair NA10121ne

What:            
Community March and Resource Fair Fundraiser.

When:       
Saturday, May 15, 2010         
10 a.m. -  March kicks off the event

At 12:30 p.m., where the march will end at Sycamore Grove Park, several political and community leaders will address the crowd.

Community Members  

Why:       
The march is a community-driven effort that brings together local churches, neighborhood councils, government agencies, community groups, business owners and local residents committed to ending gang violence and promoting peace in Northeast Los Angeles.  

At the end of the march, 40 organizations will offer their time and resources to give community members information to help make life better.  The event also features local talent performing at the Sycamore Grove Park Band Shell, from noon to 4 p.m.  

**Luis Rodriguez, author of “Always Running” a book about life in a gang, before and  after a life changing encounter, will also speak and sign books.
