WHY:       
The Los Angeles Police Department will graduate 29 police officers. Twenty-two of the graduates will serve with the LAPD, with 17 males and five females. The ethnic breakdown of those 22 graduates is as follows: seven Caucasians, 10 Hispanics, one African American and four Asians (one of which is Korean).  There are also seven additional officers graduating who will serve on the Los Angeles World Airports’ police force. Graduating officers have completed 920 hours of training over the course of 24 weeks.
