Friday, November 13, 1998
UPDATE

On Sunday morning, November 1, 1998, at approximately 0200 hours, Ralonzo Phelectron Cochran, was found shot to death in front of 2626 South Manhattan Place, Los Angeles.

Information developed during the investigation that lead the Detectives to believe that Norrill Stephenson was possibly involved in the murder of Ralonzo Cochran.

On November 11, 1998, the detectives handling the investigation, received infromation from an anonymous citizen, that Norril Stepehnson was in the area of 47th Street and Normandie Avenue. Assisted by Detectives from Detective Support Division and 77th Area Uniform Patrol Officers, a surveillance of the immediate area was established.

A short time later Stephenson was seen in a red compact vehicle driven by a female.

77th Patrol Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, and Norril Stephenson and the female driver were taken into custody without incident. Stephenson and the female were transported to South Bureau Homicide, where they were questioned regarding the homicide.

Stepehenson was arrested for violation of Felony probation and will remain in custody pending further investigation of the homicide. The female was subsequently released.
