Press Conference Scheduled in Attempt to Solve Double Hit and Run

LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT
PRESS RELEASE
Monday, November 15, 1999

WHAT:
Unsolved Double Hit and Run Homicide

WHEN:
Tuesday, November 16, 1999
9:30 A.M.

WHERE:
Parker Center
150 N. Los Angeles Street
Los Angeles, CA

WHY:
Detective Michael Kaden from Los Angeles Police Department, Central Traffic Division, will be holding a press conference to request the public's assistance in helping to solve a double hit and run that occurred on October 9, 1999 in the Hollenbeck Area. On that date, 4-year-old Alejandro Arteaga was killed at the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Norelle Street when he was struck by two different vehicles that fled the area. The Father of Alejandro will be attending as well as the Captains of Central Traffic and Hollenbeck Divisions.

City Councilman Nick Pacheco will also be attending and making the announcement of a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the drivers of each vehicle ($50,000 total).

A photograph of the victim will be made available at the press conference.
