Victim Discovered Dead on Roadway

LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT
PRESS RELEASE
Monday, November 15, 1999

On Thursday, November 11, 1999 at approximately 3:20 A.M., an unidentified person telephoned Los Angeles Police to report a male victim in the roadway at the intersection of 16th Street and Central Avenue. The caller advised that the victim had possibly been struck by a car.

Newton Division Patrol Officers responded to the location and observed a male in his mid-thirties in the roadway in the 1400 block of East16th Street. The victim appeared to have gunshot wounds to the upper torso. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
