Detectives Investigate The Murder of Kelly Ann Birins

LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT

Monday, November 29, 1999

On Friday night, November 26, 1999, several persons who reside on and/or near the 3600 block of Rosewood Avenue in Mar Vista heard what sounded to them like gunfire. The next morning, Saturday, November 27, 1999, a young woman was walking her dog in an alley in the 3600 block of Rosewood Avenue where she discovered the body of a Caucasian female who had been shot to death. The body has been identified as Kelly Ann Birins, 29 years old, of Culver City.

Pacific Area Homicide Detectives are investigating the murder of Kelly Ann Birins; however, there are no witnesses to the shooting and the motive for this murder is unknown at this time.
