Wilshire Fatal Pedestrian Traffic Collision

Tuesday, November 9, 1999

On November 8, 1999, at approximately 5:OO A.M. Wilshire patrol units and LAFD personnel responded to a call of a possible body in the alley west of the 300 block of N. La Brea Ave. A male white, approximately 60 years of age was found in the alley and pronounced dead by paramedics. Wilshire homicide detectives responded and determined that the physical evidence indicated the death was traffic related.

Witnesses indicate the victim may have been a local transient who frequents the area and may sleep in the alley. The time of death is undetermined and the deceased carried no identification.

The investigation is being conducted as a hit and run fatal traffic collision.

West Traffic collision investigators responded and are conducting the investigation.
