"Gang Shooting Results in Homicide"
Los Angeles - On Saturday, November 11, 2000, at approximately 5:25 p.m., a gang-related shooting occurred in the 3400 block of 9th Avenue. The victim, Damon N. Massey, described as a male black, 27 years old was shot to death. The suspect(s) responsible for this incident has not been identified.
The investigation is being conducted by Southwest Operations Support Division Homicide Detectives Rick Gordon and Linda Ortega. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Detectives Gordon and Ortega at 213-485-2417.
