"K-9 Receives Ballistic Vest from Fourth Grade Students"

Los Angeles: On Thursday, November 16, 2000, at 1:00 p.m., fourth grade students from St. Thomas Elementary School, located at 2632 West 15th Street in Los Angeles, will be presenting a ballistic vest to one of the LAPD's K-9.

The students from Mr. Raymond Soboro's class raised money to purchase a ballistic vest through International Armor Company as part of the "Vest-A-Dog" program. The students chose the LAPD police dog. There will be a brief K-9 demonstration during the event and photo opportunity.
