"Traffic Safety Summit"

District Attorney Elect Steve Cooley will speak about felony prosecution issues at the 1st Annual Valley Traffic Division Safety Summit to be held on Monday, November 20, 2000. The event will be from 9:00 am till noon at the Airtel Plaza Hotel which is located at Sherman Way and Valjean Avenue in Van Nuys.

Mr. Cooley will join dozens of elected officials, school officials, community leaders and police officials at the Summit. The Summit is designed to educate the public about traffic safety issues as we enter the Holiday Season.

Subjects to be covered are, but not limited to, "Road Rage", "Photo Red Light", "Street Racing", Driving Under the Influence and Child Safety Seats. Emergency room doctor, Dr. Ed Lowder, will address the audience and there will be static displays that feature equipment from the Los Angeles County Coroner's office.

A continental breakfast, complimentary parking and a media reception room will be provided.
