"High Speed Traffic Collision Kills One"

El Sereno: On Sunday, November 19, 2000, at approximately 7:25 am, a 1967 Ford Bronco was westbound on Valley Boulevard at Del Paso Avenue. The driver lost control of the vehicle, ran off the roadway and collided with a power pole. As a result of the impact with the pole, the driver sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. There were two passengers in the vehicle, a 22 year old male and a 33 year old male who were ejected upon impact with the pole. They were transported by ambulance to a local area hospital and have been listed in critical but stable condition.

The deceased driver of the vehicle has been identified as 23 year old John Kenny, a resident of Los Angeles.
