Newton Detectives Investigate Homicide

 

Los Angeles: On November 22, 2001, at approximately 9:30 PM., Christian Jesus Lopez, age 21, left his house in the 1000 block of E. 21st Street walking south on Griffith Avenue. Approximately 10 minutes later his father found him at 23rd Street and San Pedro, on the north sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso. He was taken back to his residence. Paramedics were summoned and he was transported to USCMC where death was pronounced.

No witnesses have been located. The motive is unknown and there is no suspect description at this time.
