Sexual Battery Occurred During Halloween Festivity

"Sexual Battery Occurred During Halloween Festivity"

Los Angeles: On October 31, 2002, there was a large gathering of people celebrating Halloween on Hollywood Boulevard between Highland Avenue and La Brea Boulevard. Between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., a group of males disrupted the festivities by committing several crimes including sexual battery upon multiple victims.

Anyone who was a witness to these acts, or is in possession of a home videotape of the incident, or may have been a victim themselves, is ask to contact the Los Angeles Police Department, Hollywood Area Detectives at 213-485-4321. On weekends and during off-hours, call the 24 hour toll free number of the Detective Information Desk at 1-877-LAWFULL, 1-877-529-3855.

This press release was prepared by Public Information Officer Jason Lee, Media Relations Section, 213-485-3586.
