43 LAPD Recruit Officers Graduate

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department proudly announces that it will graduate a new class of police recruits at an open ceremony that will take place at the historic Elysian Park Police Academy. The new officers will have completed 1,064 hours of training over the course of 28 weeks.

The graduating class of 43 recruits (27 males and 4 females) will become probationary officers to be assigned at LAPD Divisions throughout the City of Los Angeles.

It is anticipated that over 500 guests will attend the ceremony. Chief William J. Bratton will be conducting a formal inspection of the recruit class. Representatives of the Mayor’s office, the Board of Police Commission and Police Department command staff will be in attendance, as well as their special guests and other dignitaries.
