Brazen Robbers Caught on Tape

Los Angeles: Wilshire Area Detectives are investigating two commercial robberies, which appear to involve the same suspects. One of the robberies occurred at the Chevron Gas Station located at 7020 Beverly Blvd. This robbery took place on November 13th, 2002 at 6:30 p.m. The second robbery occurred at the Gold Star Jewelry Store, located at 587 S. Fairfax Ave. This robbery took place on November 16th, 2002 at 5:30 p.m.
On November 13th, 2002, two suspects entered the Chevron Food Mart Gas Station at the above location. After waiting for the other customers to leave the food market, both suspects approached the cashier at the counter. One suspect pointed a handgun at the cashier as the other suspect demanded money and jumped over the counter. After removing money from the register, both suspects then fled the location on foot.
On November 16th, 2002, four suspects approached the front door of the Gold Star Jewelry Store at the above location. Three suspects entered the jewelry store as the fourth suspect remained outside as the lookout. One suspect pointed a handgun at the employees as the other two smashed the glass of the display cases and removed the jewelry. All suspects then fled the location on foot.
Videotaped images of some of the suspects were obtained. The descriptions are as follows:
Susp-1: M, B, Blk hair, Bro eyes, 5’10", 170/180 lbs, 20/25 yrs.
Susp-2: M, B, Blk hair, Bro eyes, 6’01"/6’02", 175/180 lbs, 20/28 yrs.
Susp-3: M, B, Blk hair, Bro eyes, 5’07"/5’10", 150/170 lbs, 20/25 yrs.
Susp-4: M, no further description.
