Updated Information on Possible Murder Suspect(s) Vehicle

"Updated Information on Possible Murder Suspect(s) Vehicle"

Los Angeles: Harbor Homicide is investigating the shooting death of 35 year-old Monica Agustina Noriega.

On Sunday, November 2, 2003, at about 6:50 p.m., Noriega was leaving a friend’s house located in the area of 223rd Street and Harvard Boulevard. Noriega entered the passenger side of her family van to join her husband and her three children. As her husband began to drive away, Noriega told her husband she had forgotten her baby’s pacifier. Noriega’s husband stopped the van and as she exited to retrieve the pacifier, she was struck by a single gunshot that was fired by unidentified suspect(s) approximately 200 yards south of her location.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and transported Monica Noriega to Harbor/UCLA Medical Center where she died from her wound.

The motive for the shooting and the suspect(s) identity are unknown at this time.

UPDATE:

  • The second vehicle is described as a newer model Ford Mustang with neon lights beneath it. This Mustang has low profile wheels and appears to have a quality stereo system. The vehicle is gray in color.
