Argument In Parking Lot Results In Fatal Death
Los Angeles: On November 12, 2003, at about 2:40 p.m., a fatal
hit and run traffic collision occurred at the Public Storage parking lot
located at 5941 Venice Boulevard. The suspect and driver, a female White,
had rented a moving van from Public Storage and was assisting a male friend
and the victim to transfer property into the vehicle.
According to witnesses, the driver and victim began to unload the van
from the rear, when the victim and the driver became involved in an
altercation. The driver entered the van and began backing up and collided
with the victim. The male friend began yelling at the driver, at which time
she exited the vehicle and observed what she had done. The driver became
hysterical and left the scene.
The victim, a female Hispanic, whose name is being withheld pending the
notification to her family, sustained fatal injuries to her head and was
pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics.
Witnesses at the Public Storage observed the driver arrive at the storage
lot, operating the van in an erratic manner.
