"Pedestrian Fatally Wounded In A Hit And Run "

Los Angeles: On November 15, 2003, at 8:10 p.m. a fatal hit and run traffic collision occurred at Vanowen Street west of Vesper Avenue. The victim Angel Velasquez (82 years old) a resident of Van Nuys was crossing Vanowen Street midblock when he was struck by a possible newer Lexus SUV cream or white in color.

The driver of the vehicle continued traveling westbound on Vanowen Street after striking the victim. There is no description of the driver. The victim was transported to Valley Presbyterian Hospital where he died from his injuries.
