Why:
The Los Angeles Police Department will be honoring Department employees who have given 30 or more years of service. 

Of special note, Principle Clerk Police III, Marlene Greenfield will be receiving her 55-Year Service Pin.  Ms. Greenfield started her employment with the City of Los Angeles, Bureau Street Maintenance, as a Clerk Typist on May 1, 1950.  She transferred to The Los Angeles Police Department as an Intermediate Clerk Typist on December 17, 1951.  She is now working at Pacific Community Police Station as a Principal Clerk Police III.  Ms. Greenfield is currently the most senior non-sworn member of the Los Angeles Police Department and has remained a dedicated and loyal professional, earning the esteem and gratitude of the residents of the City of Los Angeles and the men and women of The Los Angles Police Department.
