Explorer Graduation

Graduation of Law Enforcement Explorer Class 85

Elysian Park Facility

Chief William J. Bratton,
    Los Angeles Police Department
Captain Anita Ortega, Commanding Officer,
    Juvenile Division
Chief David L. Snowden,
    Beverly Hills Police Department
Kevin Gano, Director of Public Safety,
    City of Norwalk

Why:
The Los Angeles Police Department proudly announces the graduation of Explorer Class 85.

Explorer Class 85 consists of 91 LAPD Explorers, 8 Beverly Hills Explorers and 6 Norwalk Safety Police Explorers.  The 105 graduates have successfully completed 128 hours of academic and physical training. 

A statistical breakdown of the class by gender and ethnicity is as follows:

Following the graduation, the explorers will return to the Explorer Posts at their stations and begin assignments in non-hazardous police duties that provide service to their communities.
