73-Year-Old Man Killed in Hit

Los Angeles:  A hit and run suspect who struck an elderly man with his motorcycle and fled the scene is being sought by LAPD's Central Traffic Detectives.

On November 23, 2005, at approximately 6:05 AM, the victim, a 73-year-old male White, was crossing southbound on 6th Street at Valencia Street, when he was struck by a 2002 Suzuki Motorcycle, which was travelling westbound on 6th Street.  The driver of the motorcycle, later identified as 23-year-old Eric Young-Min Kang, fled from the scene on foot, leaving his motorcycle at the scene.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and name is being withheld pending notification to his family.

Eric Yong-Min Kang is wanted for the violation of 20001(A) VC, Felony Hit and Run and Vehicular Manslaughter.  He is a male Korean, black hair, brown eyes, 5' 10", 150 lbs.
