$75,000 Reward Offered in Murder Investigation

What:
News conference to announce reward in murder investigation

Where:
In front of Rug City (location where crime occurred)
840 S. Santee Street, Los Angeles

Who:
•Councilman Jose Huizar, 14th Council District
•Mr. Adam Mehrfar, murder victim’s nephew from New York City
•Captain Jodi Wakefield, Central Police Station
•Detective Doug Pierce, Central Homicide Unit
•Representatives of the local Fashion District Business Improvement District

Why:
Ebrahim Torbati, a Jewish, Iranian immigrant, who owned the rug shop, was killed by an as-yet unidentified man during a robbery. Councilman Huizar will announce the reward, and the victim’s nephew will ask for the public’s help.

Copies of the composite sketch and reward flyer will be available.
