Armed Robbery Suspect Caught on Video

Los Angeles: Detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying an armed robbery suspect who robbed the McDonald's restaurant, located at 5930 West Pico Boulevard.

On November 14, 2007, just after 8 p.m., the suspect entered and approached an employee at the counter who was tending to a patron. He pulled out a handgun from his pants pocket, pointed it at the employee, and demanded the cash register be open. The employee complied and backed away from the cash register. The suspect reached over the counter and grabbed undisclosed amount of money.

Although there were several patrons in the restaurant at the time of the robbery, no one was injured.

The suspect was described as a black man, 5' 8' to 5' 10" tall, weighing about 130 to 160 pound. He is about 25 to 30 years of age.

The surveillance video clips of the robbery are available through Media Relations Section.

Anyone with information is asked to call Wilshire Area Robbery Detectives at 213-922-8205. After hours and on weekends contact the 24-hour toll free number at the Detective Information Desk at 1-877-LAW-FULL (529-3855).
