Reward Offered in Deputy Shooting

Deputy Chief Charlie Beck, Chief of Detectives
Sheriff Lee Baca, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department
Council member Ed Reyes, Los Angeles City Council     
Captain Denis Cremins, Commanding Officer Robbery Homicide Division
Captain Lance Smith, Commanding Officer Northeast Patrol
Supervisors Antonavich and Molina, Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors
                        
WHY:
A press conference will be held in Cypress Park near the 3400 block of Thorpe Street based on the strong belief that there are people with information which will help detectives solve the murder of Deputy Escalante.  A reward will be announced.  

PHOTO OP:
LAPD gang officers and detectives will be walking door to door distributing the corresponding Crime Bulletin with information regarding the reward and anonymous crime tip reporting procedures throughout various areas of the city.
