Home Invasion Robbery in West Valley Area

LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT
PRESS RELEASE
Tuesday, October 27, 1998
On Tuesday, October 27, 1998 at approximately 7:30 p.m., a home invasion robbery occurred in the 20400 block of Cohasset Street, Canoga Park. The victim and her 16 year old daughter were inside their residence when two male Hispanic suspects entered through the unlocked door. Once inside, the suspects demanded money. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun and fired a single shot striking the victim in the upper torso. The suspects then ransacked the apartment, took a sum of money and then fled on foot.

The victim was transported to Northridge Hospital where she underwent surgery for her wound. The victim is in serious condition at this time. The investigation is being conducted by West Valley Detectives. The victims identity is not being released pending notification of relatives.
