Murder-Suicide Involving a Two-Year-Old Girl

LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT
PRESS RELEASE
Monday, October 25, 1999

On Friday, October 22, 1999, at approximately 5:35 P.M., Los Angeles Paramedics were dispatched to the 13600 block of Valerio Street in Van Nuys where the bodies of a two-year-old girl and a 34 year-old female were discovered. The apparent cause of death appears to be the result of gunshot wounds. The Coroner's Office will be conducting examinations of the bodies and can be contacted for the exact cause of death.

The preliminary investigation suggests that this is a murder-suicide. The investigation will be conducted by the Valley office of the Abused Child Unit of Los Angeles Police Department's Juvenile Division.
