"Woman Dies in Traffic Collision"

Los Angeles - On Sunday, October 1, 2000, at approximately 4:00 p.m., 49 year-old Anindita Datta of Canoga Park was driving her Nissan Maxima southbound on Valley Circle Boulevard approaching Hatteras Street when she was hit head-on by a northbound Jaguar driven by a 61 year-old male Caucasian of Woodland Hills. Ms. Anindita Datta suffered massive injuries from the collision. Responding paramedics pronounced her dead. Ms. Datta's 17 year-old daughter, who was a passenger in the Maxima, also received serious injuries and was hospitalized for treatment. Her condition was unknown at the time this press release was prepared.

Witnesses stated that the driver of the Jaguar was driving his vehicle northbound on Valley Circle Boulevard when it inexplicably crossed lanes into oncoming traffic colliding with Ms. Datta's vehicle.
