"Drive by Shooting Kills One"

Los Angeles - On Sunday, October 22, 2000, at approximately 9:00 p.m., a male Black, later identified as Mr. Courtney Cornell Archie, 30 years old, was standing on the sidewalk at the corner of 66th Street and Menlo Street. According to witnesses, 3 male Black suspects in a dark colored Cadillac drove up to Mr. Archie and fired several rounds in his direction. Mr. Archie sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso and died at scene. Witnesses reported last seeing the suspects driving southbound Menlo Street towards Florence Avenue.

The motive for this shooting is unknown, but is possibly gang related. The suspects' weapon and vehicle are outstanding.
