"Halloween Festivities on Hollywood Boulevard"

Hollywood - Every year hundreds of visitors converge on Hollywood Boulevard to celebrate the Halloween festivities. This year, there are no planned parades or functions on Hollywood Boulevard. The Los Angeles Police Department will be deploying over 350 police officers to insure for the safety of, and enjoyment by, all who live in and visit the Hollywood Area.

At 7:00 P.M., the Hollywood Area Traffic Plan will go into effect. The closures will be as follows:

  • Hollywood Boulevard will be closed between La Brea Avenue and Vine Street, Highland Avenue will be completely closed to north and south traffic from Sunset Boulevard to Franklin Avenue, Cahuenga Boulevard will be closed to north and south traffic from Sunset Boulevard to Yucca Avenue.

  • Franklin Avenue along with Vine Street will be open to vehicular traffic. No on or off ramps to the Hollywood 101 freeway will be closed or affected. It is anticipated that all closures will be re-dopened by 1:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 1, 2000.
