"77th Street Homicide Detectives Investigate the Drive-by Murder of a Young Man"

 

Los Angeles: On Saturday, October 27, 2001, at approximately 11:25 P.M., 30 year-old Isaac Miller was driving his car, a blue, 1984 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, northbound at the intersection of 67th Street and Van Ness Avenue. An unknown number of suspects drove by in an unknown type vehicle, and with an unknown type of firearm fired numerous rounds into Miller's car. Miller drove his car northbound on Van Ness Avenue and stopped after colliding with a parked vehicle on the 6600 block of South Van Ness Avenue. Los Angeles Fire Department Rescue Personnel responded. Miller had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso and was pronounced dead at scene.

The motive appears to be gang-related. The suspects, weapons and vehicle are unknown and remain outstanding.

77th Street Detectives are handling the investigation. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Detectives G. Diaz or W. Fallon at 213- 485-1385 during daytime hours or the Department Command Post at 213-485-2504 during evening hours and weekends.
