Reward Offered for Murder Suspect

Press Conference Announcing the $25,000 Reward for Information Leading to the Arrest and Conviction of Juan Delgado’s Killer

Los Angeles: On November 18, 2001, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Rampart Area officers responded to a shooting at the 1200 block of West Colton Avenue. The Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics arrived and observed 16 year-old, Juan Delgado dead in front of his residence.

The investigation revealed that the victim had sustained a gunshot wound to his upper torso. Witnesses heard gunshots and observed a white Toyota Forerunner fleeing from the scene. The suspects were described as males. LAPD Rampart Area Homicide Detectives have not determined a motive.

Photos of victim Juan Delgado, as well as Delgado family members and a spokesperson for the family, will be available at the press conference.

The Los Angeles City Council has approved a $25,000.00 reward for anyone who has information that would lead to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the murder of Juan Delgado.
