Woman Kidnapped and Sexually Assaulted

Los Angeles: On October 29, 2002, at approximately 12:30 a.m., a 44 year-old female Hispanic got off work and was on her way home. She was waiting for a bus in the area of Pico Boulevard and Western Avenue. As she sat alone, a male Hispanic in a possible maroon Ford Mustang pulled up next to her and forced her into the car at knifepoint. The suspect threatened to kill her if she didn’t cooperate. The victim was driven to a nearby alley, where she was held for two hours and was sexually assaulted in the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect let the victim go in the alley and fled the location.

The suspect was described as a male Hispanic, black hair, brown eyes, 5’10"-5’11’, 20 to 25 years of age. He was wearing a black shirt and brown pants. His hair went below his shoulders.

Robbery-Homicide Division, Rape Special Section, was notified of the crime and assumed the investigative responsibility for this case.
