Woman Killed in Traffic Collision

 

Los Angeles: On Wednesday, October 8, 2003, at about 7:50 a.m., a bus vs. pedestrian traffic collision occurred at the intersection of 1st street and Broadway. The collision occurred when a Metropolitan Transportation bus negotiating a right turn from 1st street onto Broadway collided with a 53 year-old Hispanic woman crossing northbound Broadway in a marked crosswalk.

The victim was transported to LAC-USC Medical Center by Los Angeles City Fire Department paramedics, where she later died as a result of her injuries.

The investigation is on going and is being conducted by Central Traffic Division Detectives.
