Los Angeles: Harbor Area Homicide Detectives are investigating the shooting that left 17 year-old Manuel Mercado dead.

On October 13, 2003, at about 1:21 a.m., Mercado was in the 2500 block of Cabrillo Avenue when unknown suspects(s) fired several rounds at him. Mercado died at the scene from a gunshot wound.
