"Three Victims Shot – Two Die in Parking Lot of Gas Station"

 

Los Angeles: On Tuesday, October 14, 2003, at about 12:20 a.m., Southeast Area patrol officers responded to the area of Manchester Avenue and Figueroa Street after hearing several gunshots. When the officers arrived they were flagged down by citizens that were in a parking lot located in the 8600 block of south Figueroa Street. Once in the parking lot officers noticed two male Black victims on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds.

The Los Angeles City Fire Department pronounced the two male victims identified as 31 year-old Dexter Tillman and 35 year-old Michael Dark dead at the scene. A third victim that was also shot, was taken to a local hospital.

There is no suspect(s) or weapon in custody at this time. The motive for this shooting is gang related.

Southeast Area Homicide Detectives are investigating this incident and are asking for assistance from the public. Anyone with information is asked to call 213-485-6902.
