83 Year-Old Killed in Traffic Collision

Los Angeles: On October 21, 2003, at about 2:45 p.m., an 83 year-old man was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer. The man was walking southbound across 12th Street at Los Angeles Street when he was hit by the tractor-trailer.

The pedestrian was a male White and a resident of the City of Los Angeles. His identity has not been released pending notification to his family.

The driver, 38 year-old male, was making a right turn from northbound Los Angeles Street to eastbound 12th Street when he struck the pedestrian. Alcohol or drugs were not involved and the driver was not arrested.

The investigation is being conducted by Central Traffic Detectives. Any questions or information in regards to this collision should be forwarded to Detective Michael Kaden or Detective Felix Padilla, at 213-485-3111.
