Detectives seek leads on Fatal Shooting
Los Angeles: On Sunday, October 26, 2003 at about 1:30 a.m.,
Foothill officers responded to a radio call of a shooting in the 9800 block
of San Fernando Road. When the officers arrived they discovered two male
Hispanic victims being treated by Los Angeles City Fire Department
paramedics. The driver, an 18 year-old, sustained multiple gunshot wounds
and was transported to a local hospital were he is listed in critical
condition. The passenger, who has not been positively identified, also
sustained multiple gunshot wounds and died at the hospital from his wounds.
The officers investigation revealed that the victims had been driving
westbound from Glenoaks Boulevard. When they realized they were being
followed by a white, large model pick-up or van. The unidentified suspect(s)
of the vehicle began firing several shots into the victim’s vehicle,
striking them multiple times. The victims lost control of their vehicle and
came to stop in the 9800 block of San Fernando Road.
The motive and the suspect(s) identity are unknown at this time.
