Juvenile Sought In Questioning for Murder

Van Nuys Community Police Station, 6240 Sylmar Avenue, Van Nuys

Los Angeles: Van Nuys Homicide Detectives are asking for the public's assistance in locating a juvenile suspect wanted for questioning for the murder of a 22 year-old resident of Lake View Terrace.

On Friday, August 6, 2004, at approximately 10:50 p.m., Devonshire Area Patrol Officers responded to a radio call in the 10200 block of Balboa Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers found Gerardo Aparicio suffering from a gunshot to the upper torso. Aparicio was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

The victim's family will be in attendance. Information on the suspect, along with his photograph will be available for the media at the news conference.
