Public’s Help Needed in Locating Sexual Assault Suspect

Rampart Detective Division, 303 South Union Avenue, Los Angeles

Los Angeles: Rampart Sex Crimes Detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect who is wanted in connection with a sexual assault that occurred on October 23, 2004, at approximately 6:30 a.m.

The victim exited a MTA bus in the area of 3rd Street and Virgil Avenue, when she observed the suspect loitering in the area. The suspect followed the victim to 160 South Virgil Avenue. The suspect approached the victim and forced her to a secluded location and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, 5’2", thin build, and dark colored eyes with black hair brushed backward. The suspect was wearing a cream or tan colored shirt, a black nylon sleeveless vest, black sweat pants with buttons down the outer legs, possible white Air Jordan tennis shoes with blue trim.

The suspect had a tattoo on the left upper arm "Menique", web area of left hand "18", and theatrical clown faces (the actual faces) which depict the saying "laugh now/cry later."
