Motorcyclist Dies After Crash

Los Angeles:  A 26-year-old Glendale man riding a motorcycle was killed yesterday in a collision in Hollywood with a car making a left turn into a market parking lot.

The crash occurred on October 13, 2005, at about 2:20 PM, in the 3300 block of Barham Boulevard.  Mgrdich Fidanian was heading westbound on his 2006 Augusta F4 1000 motorcycle just west of Dewitt Drive when he collided with an eastbound 1998 Oldsmobile driven by a 59-year-old Burbank Resident.

Witnesses said Fidanian had exceeded the posted speed limit as he passed another car just prior to the collision.  Fidanian was transported to Saint Joseph Medical Center where he died a short time later.

The Oldsmobile driver was not injured or cited.  The collision investigation is being conducted by West Traffic Detectives to determine if any criminal negligence exists.

For further information please contact Detectives M. Dominguez or M. Fisher, West Traffic Division, at 213-473-0222.  On weekends or during off-hours, the public can call the toll-free, 24-hour anonymous tip line at 1-877-LAWFULL (1-877-529-3855).
