19-Year-Old Shot and Killed in Possible Gang Shooting

Los Angeles: A 19-year-old man was shot in West Los Angeles.  He was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

On Saturday, October 15, 2005, at about 12:30 AM, the victim was sitting in front of an apartment building in the 1900 block of Bedford Street.  Unknown suspect(s) approached on foot and fired several rounds at the victim. 

The motive is unknown, but the shooting appears to be gang related.

The victim has been identified as Orette Jones.
