Witnesses Wanted for Fatal Traffic Collision

Why:
On October 12, 2005, at approximately 6:20 AM, a fatal traffic collision occurred at the intersection of Vermont Avenue and 5th Street in Koreatown.

76-year-old Henry Choi, a resident of Los Angeles, was walking across Vermont Avenue at 5th Street when he was struck by a vehicle and he was taken to the University of Southern California Medical Center where he died from his injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested for suspicion of Driving Under Influence and Murder.  The suspect has since been released from custody due to lack of witnesses.

Mr. Choi's photograph will be available during the news conference.
