One Person is Dead After a Multi-Victim Shooting

Los Angeles: Three people were shot at  and two were struck by gunfire  in the Jefferson Park area of Los Angeles Sunday morning.

On Sunday, October 7, 2007, at about 11:35 a.m., Joshua Thierry, 18, along with a couple of his friends, a female Black, 31, and a male Black, 31, were in front of a beauty supply store in the 1300 block of West Jefferson Boulevard. At least 3, possibly 4 suspects drove up eastbound on Jefferson Boulevard and stopped next to the trio.

One suspect fired 4-6 rounds at the victims. The suspects were described only as 3 to 4 male blacks, with the shooter being between 18 and 20 years old.

Thierry was hit in the upper torso and transported to a local hospital, where he died a short time later. The other male victim was struck in the right leg and was listed in stable condition. The female victim was not injured.

Detectives believe the motive for the shooting was gang related.
