Gang Violence Claims a Life
Los Angeles: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department are investigating the shooting death of an 18-year-old Los Angeles man.
On October 14, 2007, at about 4:00 a.m., Devon Curry was leaving a party in the 5400 block of 99th Place. A silver, newer model Mustang was traveling eastbound on 99th Place and an unknown suspect fired once at the victim.
Curry was struck and collapsed at the scene. He was transported to a local hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
The motive for this shooting is believed to be gang related.
