National Day of Protest to Stop Police Brutality

What:
Demonstration

When:
Monday, October 22, 2007
9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Where:
Assembly Point : Corner of Los Angeles Street and 1st Street, in front of Parker Center

•Media Parking Area: Main Street south of Temple Street

•Media Viewing Area: Southwest corner of Temple Street and Los Angeles Street

Rally Point : MacArthur Park, at the corner of 6th Street and Alvarado Avenue

•Media Parking Area: Parkview Street between Wilshire Boulevard and 7th Street

•Media Viewing Area: Northeast corner of Parkview Street and Wilshire Boulevard

Who:
"October 22nd Coalition"

Why:
This is to advise media personnel of the media viewing areas for the demonstration. Media viewing areas will be used in the event a dispersal order is given. Should there be any changes to either of the areas City News Service (CNS) will be contacted and given the information. Media personnel are encouraged to monitor CNS for any updates.

Additional:
There will be (3) Public Information Officers (PIOs) at both the Assembly and Rally points, one of which will be a Spanish speaker. Each will be wearing a PIO identifying vest.
